The Tangerine Potentilla, Fruticosa tangerine, is an excellent but rare wildlife shrub. The orange flowers last over many weeks like other cinqufoils, but the beauty and unique feature of this species is the prostrate habit. The dense foliage spreads horizontally across the ground slowly producing a thick mat. The flowers are bright yellow in full sun but become orange in cool weather or parital shade.
